Conquering CHD’s mission is to “Conquer Congenital Heart Disease.” We are accomplishing this through collaboration with patients, families, providers, and partner organizations, improving quality and outcomes, through education, support, research, and awareness. We are changing both the national landscape and empowering patients and families locally, by giving knowledge, a voice, and hope.
Mended Little Hearts is a program of The Mended Hearts, Inc. a non-profit and volunteer-based organization with over 69 years of service to heart patients and their families. Mended Hearts is the largest heart patient support network in the world. The Mended Little Hearts program works nationally and in communities to support and inspire hope in families of children born with congenital heart defects, the nation’s most common birth defects. Mended Little Hearts’ mission is to inspire hope and improve the quality of life of heart patients and their families through ongoing peer-to-peer support, education, and advocacy. Members listen, share their experiences, learn from healthcare professionals, and volunteer to talk to other parents, families and CHD patients so they don’t have to go through their journey with CHD alone.
Sisters by Heart is a group of heart moms who came together during their CHD journey – some of whom were fortunate to meet prior to their CHD warriors arrival. We’ve supported each other in our journeys with our congenital heart defect children. Knowing the challenges and difficulties we faced upon diagnosis, and more so, upon bringing our fighters into this world, we created Sisters by Heart to reach out and support parents of the newly diagnosed. A major aspect of our mission is to send care packages to new mothers (and fathers) who are at the beginning of their journey. We want them to know that they are not alone and provide resources and understanding while their child undergoes care and treatment from birth throughout recovery.
